Annia's Kitchen is so cute! I love visiting this mom and pop diner. It's located at the San Gabriel Airport, but anyone can access this restaurant. The food served is American/Mexican breakfast, which I love. The prices are great and the portions are huge! The kids love coming here because you can watch all the planes fly out. I would recommend sitting outside to get a better view of the planes. There's a roof over the patio area so it's not too hot out there! The servers are so sweet and always accommodating whenever we visit too. I definitely recommend!
If you are looking for a different kind of atmosphere while enjoying breakfast or lunch then this is the place to be. We went on a Sunday so we expected it to be busy which it clearly was with all the customers waiting in the airport lobby area. Once you are seated be ready because the waiter will be ready to take your order. Our breakfast was pretty good and we enjoyed seeing some of the small aircraft landing on the runway.
Traditional diner vibe with a very cool view of the airplanes outside! We always wait for a table outside or a booth right next to the window so we can watch the planes take off and land. The food is good and portions are generous. I personally like the green chilaquiles and breakfast burritos. Drinks were refilled often. Staff is friendly and professional.
At Annia's Kitchen in El Monte, CA, our culinary journey was nothing short of delightful. We opted for the Stack with two eggs, two bacon, and two sausage servings, alongside the tantalizing Steak Sandwich and the refreshing Taco Salad. Each dish was a testament to Annia's culinary prowess. The Stack was a hearty, satisfying breakfast option, with perfectly cooked eggs and savory meats providing a burst of flavor with every bite. The Steak Sandwich, on the other hand, was a savory indulgence, featuring tender steak nestled between slices of fresh bread, creating a symphony of taste that left us craving more. And let's not forget the Taco Salad, a refreshing blend of crisp greens, flavorful toppings, and zesty dressing, providing a satisfying contrast to the heartier options. What truly sets Annia's Kitchen apart, however, is its unique location near the San Gabriel Valley Airport. The view of planes taking off and landing added an extra layer of charm to our dining experience, making it a memorable outing for both food and ambiance enthusiasts alike. Annia's Kitchen is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking delicious food served with a side of unique ambiance. Whether you're in the mood for breakfast, lunch, or anything in between, you're sure to find something to satisfy your cravings at this hidden gem in El Monte.
Located inside the airport, with plenty of parking outside the front. The food is great here, we've been here twice but the most recent time we went we were told our wait would be 20 min but ending up waiting 40 min. We also waited for our food for roughly 30 min. However despite all that, the food is good, portions are huge, and service is good. They also fill your coffee religiously which is nice. Def worth it for the price imo but if you decide to come, highly recommend coming here earlier as the wait can be long. We came here around 11am. The interior is nice, it has 1950 oldies vibes. Next time will come earlier to avoid the long wait.
We came here on whim hoping our toddler would appreciate the outside view, but we were pleased that the staff was able to graciously accommodate us with 2 babies under 2. Service was great, our server was very attentive and able to provide us with some recommendations. The food was good and the portions size was extremely generous (we could have shared). I ordered the Chile verde plate with potatoes and beans, so good! My son loved his Mickey Mouse pancakes. They also keep your coffee mug hot and full, thank you! We got lucky and stopped by on a day where there was some kind of air show, our kids were able to check out airplanes and helicopters.
We came on a Friday afternoon to a packed house/ it took about 5 minutes to get seated. (Yes it is located in the tiny airport) 4 of us came and all got different plates. Outdoor and indoor seating. Pros - I got the breakfast burrito, (no picture) and I think it was the best one I've had. 9/10 - Idk what everyone else got but I took pictures and they all enjoyed their food too. - BIG plates filled to the edges. Cons - none Overall - 8.7/10
Delicious food. Large portions. Friendly & quick service. Interesting location. Indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered the specials listed on the board: chili relleno omelette and the ribeye. Both came with potato choice and pancakes. A wonderful yummy lunch on a Saturday!
